I was asked to be apart of When You Think of Home. When You Think of Home is a community of artists determined to help. We do this through the sale of art that directly benefits Acres of Love, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing care, a family, and forever homes to orphans in South Africa.
Our ongoing creative project encourages artists around the world to illustrate the idea of “home,” inspired by their village, town, city, or state. From Tokyo to Toronto, treetops to the kitchen table, each poster captures a feeling, memory, or moment meant to bring us all home.
For this project, though I am from Seattle I am a bit of an introvert and created a sanctuary of what I think of as home. I collect a ton of pots and plants my house kind of looks like a jungle and my cat is always chilling next to them staring out the window. For me, when I close my eyes this is what I see as home.
